St. Catherine’s 17, Lutheran/Prairie 1
The St. Catherine's Angels were dominant in a blowout 17-1 win at Horlick Field.
The Angels scored seven runs in the sixth on a two-run double by KJ Banse, an RBI single by AJ Kaprelian, a passed ball, an RBI single by Shey Smith, an RBI single by Eric Weisbrod, and an RBI single by Jimmy Carrington.
Smith went a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate for the Angels.
Colin Dresen looked sharp on the mound. Lutheran/Prairie managed just two hits off of the Angels pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out seven during his six innings of work.
The Angels jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the top of the first. The Angels caught fire after Nathan Simons doubled. Then Smith singled, plating Simons.
The Angels stayed on top until the final out after taking the lead in the fourth, scoring five runs on three singles and an RBI triple by Eric Weisbrod.
St. Catherine’s 12, Lutheran/Prairie 2
Lutheran/Prairie didn't stand a chance on Saturday, as St. Catherine's captured a blowout 12-2 win in six innings.
The Angels scored six runs in the fourth on an RBI single by Tarail King, an RBI single by AJ Kaprelian, an RBI single by Eric Weisbrod, an error, and a two-run single by Jimmy Carrington.
Weisbrod racked up three RBI on three hits for the Angels.
Coty Ortiz tallied 10 strikeouts in the St. Catherine's win. Ortiz allowed two earned runs on four hits and one walk over six innings.
Brookfield Academy 2, Living Word Lutheran 0
Nate Stolte powered Brookfield Academy at the plate and on the mound Saturday, willing the Blue Knights to a 2-0 victory over Living Word Lutheran.
Stolte was solid at the plate for the Blue Knights. Stolte went 1-3, drove in one and scored the other Brookfield run. He doubled in the third inning.
Stolte kept Living Word Lutheran off the scoreboard for all seven innings he was on the hill as well. He pitched a shutout on two hits while ringing up four.
Brookfield Academy 11, Living Word Lutheran 1
Brookfield Academy jumped out to an early lead on Living Word Lutheran and captured an 11-1 victory on Saturday.
Six runs in the first three innings allowed the Blue Knights to put the game away early.
An RBI single by Nate Stolte and a two-run double by Merrick Wells in the first inning and a sacrifice fly by Sam Meier during the second inning supplied the early offense for Brookfield Academy.
Stolte was solid at the plate for the Blue Knights. Stolte went 2-for-4, drove in one and scored two runs.
Jake Kolasinski struck out seven, paving the way for a Brookfield Academy win. Kolasinski allowed one earned run, three hits and four walks over five innings.
Green Lake-Princeton 10, Cambria Friesland 0
Spencer Bylsma went 2-for-3 at the plate, but Cambria-Friesland fell 10-0 to Green Lake/Princeton on Saturday.
Noah Polcyn got it done on the mound on the way to a win. He pitched four shutout innings. He struck out eight, walked two and surrendered two hits.
Green Lake/Princeton was sparked by Billy Jones and Polcyn, who teamed up for four hits and four RBIs.
Cambria Fiesland 2, Green Lake-Princeton 1
Cambria-Friesland didn't provide John Link with much support, but he didn't need much. Link pitched seven strong innings to carry the Hilltoppers to a 2-1 win over Green Lake/Princeton in seven innings on Saturday.
Bryce Williams led the offense with two hits and a run scored for the Hilltoppers.
Waupun 3, Wausau West 2
A walk-off single from Keegan Pinch brought home the winning run for Waupun in a 3-2 extra inning affair over Wausau West.
Arik Tavs handled Wausau West's lineup with ease, racking up nine strikeouts. Tavs allowed two earned runs, nine hits and three walks over eight innings.
Pinch also got the win for Waupun on the hill. He tossed one inning in relief, without allowing a run and scattered one hit.
Jordan Daane started the game winning rally with a leadoff double. After an intentional walk Pinch came up with one out and the winning run just 90 feet away and single to right to put the game away.
Waupun 4, Wausau West 0
Colin DeBoer powered Waupun at the plate and on the bump Saturday, leading the Warriors to a 4-0 victory over Wausau West.
DeBoer led the Warriors offensive threat, as he got on base two times in the game, tripling in the third inning. DeBoer also scored two of the four Waupun runs.
DeBoer was magnificent on the hill, going the distance without allowing a run. He scattered seven hits while striking out two over his seven innings of work.
Waupun didn't relinquish the lead after scoring one run in the first inning when it scored on an RBI single by Bryce Buchholz.
Waupun Warriors Varsity piled on two more runs in the bottom of the fifth. Jordan Daane's double got things going, plating DeBoer. That was followed up by Sam Lenz's single, scoring Daane.
Catholic Central 6, King 1
Ben Heiligenthal went 2-for-3, helping Catholic Central to a 6-1 victory over King on Saturday.
The Hilltoppers went up for good in the first, scoring two runs on two singles.
Catholic Central Hilltoppers Varsity got two-run rallies in the second inning and the third. In the second, Catholic Central Hilltoppers Varsity scored on an RBI single by Nolan Girard, scoring Kross Krueger.
In the third inning, King pushed across its only run of the day on an RBI single by Samuel Welk.
Kenosha Christian Life 9, St. John’s 0
St. John's didn't stand a chance on Saturday, as the Kenosha Christian Life Eagles captured a blowout 9-0 win in seven innings.
The Eagles scored three runs in the fifth on an RBI single by Jeremy Vroman and a two-run single by Eddie Piotrowski.
Piotrowski racked up two RBI on three hits for Kenosha Christian Life.
Sam Merlock's 10 strikeouts helped the Eagles to the victory. Merlock gave up just two hits over six shutout innings.
Kenosha Christian Life 17, St. John’s 0
The Kenosha Christian Life Eagles refused to relinquish the lead after grabbing it early against St. John's, recording a 17-0 victory on Saturday.
Ten runs in the first three innings allowed the Eagles to put the game away early.
An RBI single by Josh Bagg, a two-run error, an RBI single by Nick Rozema, and an RBI single by Peter Hammond in the first inning supplied the early offense for the Kenosha Christian Life.
Hammond went a perfect 3-for-3 at the dish for Kenosha Christian Life.
Brian Rintelman looked sharp on the mound. St. John's managed just one hit off of Rintelman, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out five during his four innings of work.
Pacelli 5, Wisconsin Rapids Assumption 0
Tyler Nalbach got the win for Pacelli. He tossed seven innings of shutout ball. He struck out 10, walked none and surrendered three hits.
Pacelli never surrendered the lead after the first inning, scoring two runs on an RBI single by Kyle Rogers and a walk by Troy Flugaur.
Pacelli 13, Wisconsin Rapids Assumption 3
Wisconsin Rapids Assumption dropped a 13-3 contest to Pacelli on Saturday.
Troy Flugaur got it done on the bump on the way to a win. He allowed three runs over five innings. He struck out six, walked one and surrendered seven hits.
