Neenah 3, Appleton West 2
A superb effort by Connor Wollersheim carried Neenah to a 3-2 win in seven innings over Appleton West on Saturday.
Wollersheim got the win for the Rockets thanks to 11 strikeouts. Wollersheim allowed no earned runs on two hits and one walk over seven innings.
Nathan Disch matched Wollersheim’s efforts through six innings but a walkoff single by Matt Gruse in the bottom of the seventh won the game for the Rockets.
Appleton West 11, Neenah 1
The Neenah Rockets lost 11-1 to Appleton West on Saturday at Neenah HS.
Austin Mullins got the win for Appleton West. He allowed one run over six innings. Mullins struck out two, walked none and gave up four hits.
Appleton West's Nathan Disch, Juan Moreno and Jason Leadley combined for six hits and three RBI.
Wittenberg-Birnamwood 10, Peshtigo 1
The Wittenberg-Birnamwood Chargers took down Peshtigo 10-1 on Saturday at Peshtigo after slamming Peshtigo with six runs in the sixth inning.
Cory Mortenson racked up two RBI on two hits for Wittenberg-Birnamwood. He singled in the third and sixth innings.
Dilan Brabender's six strikeouts were enough to push the Chargers past Peshtigo. Brabender allowed one earned run, four hits and two walks over seven innings.
Waupun 4, Beaver Dam 3
Waupun took the lead in the sixth inning, and Beaver Dam was unable to muster a comeback, losing 4-3 in seven innings on Saturday at Wisconsin Lutheran College.
Ryan Schmitt got the win in relief for Waupun. Schmitt pitched one inning and allowed no runs.
Waupun never surrendered the lead after the sixth inning, scoring two runs on an RBI double by Jared Larsen and an RBI single by Jordan Moul.
Evansville 4, Big Foot 3
Big Foot Chiefs Varsity won the hit battle 4-3 on Saturday, but couldn't push enough runs across to get the win, instead losing 4-3 in seven innings to Evansville.
Sawyer Johnson recorded the win for Evansville. He allowed three runs over six innings. He struck out seven, walked four and surrendered four hits.
Verona 10, Appleton North 0
The Verona Wildcats took down Appleton North 10-0 on Saturday at Stampfl Field after slamming Appleton North with eight runs in the third inning.
Tyler Stone racked up two RBI on two hits for the Wildcats.
The Verona Wildcats Nick Phillips kept Appleton North off the scoreboard for all five innings he was on the hill. He pitched a shutout, allowing no runs on two hits while striking out one.
Kaukauna 4, Verona 1
The Verona Wildcats Varsity built an early edge on Saturday, but Kaukauna roared back to steal a 4-1 victory at Stampfl Field.
Beck Skenadore got the win for Kaukauna. He allowed one run over six innings. He struck out three, walked one and surrendered nine hits.
Catholic Central 4, Martin Luther 3
Catholic Central pulled out a 4-3 win over Martin Luther.
Tegan Miles recorded the win for Catholic Central. He allowed three runs over eight innings. Miles struck out 13, walked four and gave up eight hits.
Eau Claire Memorial 9, DC Everest 4
The Old Abe's pulled out a 9-4 win over DC Everest.
Sam Prissel was solid at the plate for Eau Claire Memorial. Prissel went 2-5, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the sixth and seventh innings.
Eau Claire Memorial 13, DC Everest 10
Pitchers had a tough day during the game between Eau Claire Memorial and DC Everest, as the two teams put up 23 runs combined in a 13-10 Old Abe's win.
The teams totaled 25 hits, including four extra base hits in the game.
Zach Ruhland led the Old Abe's' offensive threat, as he got on base four times in the game. He singled in the third and fifth innings.
Bryce Retzloff recorded the win for Memorial. He allowed four runs over two innings. He struck out none, walked one and surrendered five hits.
Kenosha Bradford 10, King 2
A six-run explosion in the sixth inning hoisted Bradford to a 10-2 win in seven innings over King on Saturday.
Anthony Elsen racked up five RBI on three hits for the Red Devils. He singled in the first inning, doubled in the third inning, and homered in the sixth inning.
King couldn't get anything going against Mason Kessler they managed just one hit off of the Red Devils pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out three during his five innings of work.
Kenosha Bradford 3, Wilmot 2
Kyle Schulz came up big at the dish and on the bump, leading Bradford to a 3-2 win over Wilmot on Saturday.
The Red Devils was led by Schulz's hitting. Schulz went 3-for-4 and drove in one. He singled in the first, fourth, and sixth innings.
Schulz also struck out eight, paving the way for a Red Devils win. Schulz allowed one earned run, eight hits and one walk over seven innings.
The lead stayed with Bradford after the third, when it scored two runs on an RBI single by Tony DeBartolo and an RBI triple by Kevin Tibor.
Oconomowoc 9, Watertown 4
Watertown lost 9-4 to Oconomowoc in seven innings at Wisconsin Lutheran College Fields on Saturday.
Chase Fischer went a perfect 2-for-2 at the plate for Watertown Goslings. He singled in the third and sixth innings.
Larson recorded the win for Oconomowoc. He allowed four runs over 5 1/3 innings. Larson struck out two, walked seven and gave up five hits.
Jefferson 4, Wisconsin Dells 3
Wisconsin Dells lost 4-3 in seven innings on Saturday, despite outhitting Jefferson seven to six.
Dakota Musiedlak went a perfect 3-for-3 at the dish for the Chiefs. He doubled in the third inning and singled in the second and fifth innings.
Roby Schlesner got the win in relief for Jefferson. Schlesner pitched four innings and allowed no runs.
Lake Country Lutheran 7, Johnson Creek 1
The Lake Country Lutheran Lightning pounded Johnson Creek on Saturday 7-1 in seven innings.
The Lightning scored three runs in the fifth on a sacrifice fly by Tim Bahr and a two-run error.
It was a good day at the plate for the Lake Country Lutheran’s BJ Sabol. Sabol went 3-for-4 and scored two runs. He singled in the first and fifth innings and doubled in the sixth inning.
Ben Wilkins got the win for the Lightning thanks to seven strikeouts. Wilkins allowed one earned run, four hits and one walk over seven innings.
Johnson Creek 7, Lake Country Lutheran 5
Not even a strong hitting and pitching performance from Jesse Turner could carry the Lake Country Lutheran Lightning past Johnson Creek on Saturday as the Lightning suffered a 7-5 defeat.
Turner racked up two RBI on two hits for Lightning. He doubled in the first inning and singled in the seventh inning. On the mound, Turner baffled Johnson Creek, striking out six batters. Turner allowed two earned runs on three hits and two walks over five innings.
St. Mary Central 13, Mishicot 3
St. Mary Central refused to relinquish the lead after grabbing it early against Mishicot, recording a 13-3 victory on Saturday.
With 11 runs in the first three innings, the Zephyrs left no doubt about the eventual outcome.
A two-run triple by Griffin Jack, a groundout by Richard VandenBranden, and a sacrifice fly by Alex Depies in the first inning and a groundout by Jordan Schmidt, an RBI single by Caleb Davidson, and an RBI double by Nathan Jack during the second inning supplied the early offense for St. Mary Central Zephyrs Varsity.
Davidson went a perfect 2-for-2 at the dish for Zephyrs.
Hartford 6, Milwaukee Lutheran 3
A tight game was decided in the sixth inning as Milwaukee Lutheran fell to Hartford 6-3 in seven innings on Saturday at Milwaukee Lutheran.
Derek Hall got two hits and drove in a run for Hartford. While Nolan Sweeney tossed a complete game giving up just three runs and posting five strikeouts.
Wisconsin Lutheran 9, Milwaukee Lutheran 1
Despite a big day at the dish from Austin Kath, who finished 2-for-3, Milwaukee Lutheran lost 9-1 to Wisconsin Lutheran on Saturday.
Kath got on base three times in the game for Milwaukee Lutheran Red Knights. He singled in the first and third innings.
In the first inning, Milwaukee Lutheran Red Knights pushed across its only run of the day on a sacrifice fly by T.D. Walker.
Wisconsin Lutheran never surrendered the lead after the second inning, scoring three runs on a fielder's choice and two ground outs.
Logan McShane got the win for Wisconsin Lutheran, recording 10 strikeouts and scattering five hits over seven innings pitched.
