Daily Roundup: April 8

Baseball season is underway in the Badger State and we will again bring you all the action on a daily basis through our Daily Roundup. We again have teamed up with Wisconsin Sports Network to bring you the most comprehensive coverage of game scores and highlights throughout the spring. Our Daily Roundup will include final scores with a link to box scores provided by wissports.net as well as any highlights or top performers we get. To make sure your highlights get included in the Daily Roundup, tweet your scores and highlights to us @PBRWisconsin or email them to Steve Nielsen at [email protected]. We will also be tracking GameChanger throughout the year, if your team uses GameChanger make sure we are notified and following your official scorer.

Tremper came up short on their opening game in Florida, taking on Shawnee HS from New Jersey. Jack Jensen drove in three runs for the Trojans while Justin Lavey had a perfect 3-for-3 day with three singles.

Owen Dirksmeyer went 1-1 with two RBI as the Catholic Central Hilltoppers took home a 10-5 victory over St. Francis in seven innings on Wednesday.

He doubled in the fifth inning.

Brandon Vandehei got the win for Catholic Central. He allowed two runs over three innings. Vandehei struck out one, walked one and gave up three hits.

Marquis Reuter came up big at the dish and on the rubber, leading the Sun Prairie Cardinals to a 13-0 win over Madison LaFollette on Wednesday at Summit Field.

Reuter boosted his batting average thanks to a perfect 2-2 day at the plate to pace the Cardinals. He singled in the third inning and tripled in the third inning, driving in two run s on the day.

Reuter looked sharp on the mound as well. LaFollette managed just one hit off of Reuter, who allowed no earned runs, walked three and struck out four during his three innings of work.

The Cardinals' bats came to life in the third inning scoring 13 runs. The Cardinals batted around in the third, Michael Brekke had the big inning for Sun Prairie driving in three of the 13 runs in the inning with two singles.
