Stoughton 2, Oregon 1
The Oregon Panthers failed to provide enough offense to beat Stoughton on Tuesday at Stoughton, despite Logan Laski's stellar 6 1/3-inning performance, and the Oregon Panthers took the loss, 2-1.
Paul Rosowski got it done on the rubber on the way to a win. He allowed one run over six innings. Rosowski struck out 13, walked two and gave up two hits.
Stoughton pushed one run across in the sixth inning to start the scoring. Stoughton scored on a sacrifice fly by Chris Lund.
The lone run of the game for the Oregon Panthers Varsity crossed the plate in the seventh inning on a sacrifice fly by Jake Kleitsch.
Stoughton scored the game winner in the bottom of the seventh coming off the bat of sophomore Cade Bunnell.
La Crosse Aquinas 7, Chippewa Falls 0
Blugolds blew out Chippewa Falls 7-0 on Saturday at Holy Cross after pouring on five runs in the first inning.
Chris Cavidini recorded the win for Blugolds. He pitched five shutout innings. He struck out four, walked three and surrendered one hit.
Waterloo 11, Cambridge 0
Curtis Cook powered Waterloo at the plate and on the mound Saturday, willing Waterloo to an 11-0 victory over Cambridge.
Cook had a busy day at the plate, collecting three extra-base hits while driving in three RBI. Cook also put together a nice outing on the mound. Cambridge managed just one hit off of the Waterloo pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked three and struck out five during his five innings of work.
Waterloo 's bats came to life in the fourth inning as they scored nine runs to secure the five inning victory.
Waterloo 15, Cambridge 0
Waterloo took down Cambridge 15-0 on Saturday at Fireman's Park after slamming Cambridge with eight runs in the third inning.
Steve Lanphier had three hits for Waterloo, scoring two runs and adding one RBI.
Ben Lincks looked sharp on the mound. Cambridge managed just two hits off of Lincks, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his four innings of work.
Waterloo pounded Cambridge pitching, as six hitters combined for eight hits, seven RBIs and 12 runs scored.
Appleton East 8, Beaver Dam 2
Appleton East took care of Beaver Dam 8-2 on Saturday.
Appleton East was sparked by Taran Tierney and Kam Gahr, who teamed up for five hits and two RBI.
Kenosha Christian Life 22, Living Word Lutheran 1
The Kenosha Christian Life Eagles shut the door early on Living Word Lutheran, capturing a 22-1 victory on Saturday.
Six runs in the first three innings allowed the Eagles to put the game away early.
Eddie Piotrowski racked up three RBI on four hits for the Eagles. Sam Merlock also added four RBI on two hits including a triple.
Josh Beard was in control on the mound. Living Word Lutheran managed just two hits off of Beard, who allowed no earned runs, walked three and struck out six during his five innings of work.
Waupun 6, Winnebago Lutheran 1
Jordan Moul brought home the go-ahead run to give Waupun the lead in the sixth inning, as Waupun Warriors Varsity hung on to beat Winnebago Lutheran Academy 6-1 on Saturday.
With Waupun Warriors Varsity trailing by one, Moul came to the plate and singled, plating Jimmy Hopp and Collin U'Ren.
Bryce Buchholz was sharp on the mound. Winnebago Lutheran managed just two hits off of Buchholz, who allowed one earned run, walked three and struck out four during his seven innings of work.
Waupun 8, Winnebago Lutheran 1
The Waupun Warriors jumped out to an early lead on Winnebago Lutheran Academy and captured an 8-1 victory on Saturday at The Gus.
With eight runs in the first three innings, the Warriors left no doubt about the eventual outcome.
Colin DeBoer racked up two RBI on two hits for Waupun. He singled in the third inning and doubled in the sixth inning.
Keegan Pinch shut down Winnebago Lutheran Academy while he was on the rubber. Winnebago Lutheran Academy managed just three hits off of Pinch, who allowed no earned runs, walked five and struck out five during his six innings of work.
Onalaska 9, Milwaukee Lutheran 7
Milwaukee Lutheran Red Knights jumped out to an early lead, but was unable to hold on and lost 9-7 to Onalaska on Saturday.
While Milwaukee Lutheran led until the sixth inning, Onalaska worked its way back and took the lead on an RBI single by Jack Smalley.
Freshman T.D. Walker racked up two RBI on two hits for the Red Knights. He singled in the first inning and doubled in the second inning.
Big Foot 2, Harvard (IL)0
Brandon Hausner threw a shutout to lift Big Foot to a 2-0 win over Harvard at Harvard in seven innings.
Harvard managed just one hit off of Hausner, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out eight during his seven innings of work.
Hausner kept Harvard hitless until the seventh inning when a single by Schneider broke up his no-hit bid.
Harvard (IL) 5, Big Foot 2
Carter Hehr did all he could to give Big Foot Chiefs Varsity a boost, but it wasn't enough to get past Harvard, as Big Foot Chiefs Varsity lost 5-2 in seven innings on Saturday.
Harvard returned the favor to the Chiefs as Schneider tossed a one hitter against the Chiefs, striking out 15 in seven innings.
Parkview 8, Catholic Central 5
Jameson Lavery had three hits and two runs to lead Parkview to the 8-5 victory.
Jameson Lavery, Elliot Olson and Riley Peterson helped lead Parkview. They combined for eight hits and three RBI.
Westosha Central 10, Waterford 2
Waterford had a tough outing on Saturday, as Westosha Central dominated in a 10-2 win in seven innings at Waterford.
The Falcons scored four runs in the fifth thanks in large part to a two-run single by Marshall Gilbert, and an RBI single by Justin Barney. Barney went a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate for Westosha Central.
James Gorsline got the win for Westosha Central. He allowed two runs over seven innings. Gorsline struck out two, walked five and gave up seven hits.
Westosha Central 11, Waterford 7
Justin Barney was strong at the plate and on the rubber in carrying Westosha Central to an 11-7 victory over Waterford on Saturday.
Barney racked up three RBI on one hit for the Falcons. He doubled in the fifth inning.
Barney was in control on the hill. Waterford managed just one hit, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out none during his two relief innings of work.
James Gorsline pushed Westosha Central Falcons Varsity ahead, in the sixth inning, and the lead lasted until the final out. After Travis Knudsvig doubled, Gorsline came to the plate with the score tied at six, and doubled, scoring Knudsvig.
Niles West (IL) 10, Union Grove 2
Ben Miller and Tate Koester got the only two hits for Union Grove as they lost 10-2 to Niles West from Illinois.
Kettle Moraine Lutheran 5, Lake Country Lutheran 2
The Lake Country Lutheran Lightning won the hit battle 8-5 on Saturday, but couldn't push enough runs across to get the win, instead losing 5-2 in seven innings to Kettle Moraine Lutheran.
Ben Wilkins got a hit in each of his three at bats. He singled in the first, third, and sixth innings.
Lake Country Lutheran 7, Kettle Moraine 1
A five-run explosion in the second inning carried the Lake Country Lutheran Lightning Varsity to a 7-1 win in seven innings over Kettle Moraine Lutheran on Saturday.
Ben Wilkins racked up three RBI on two hits for the Lightning. He singled in the first and second innings.
Chris Kornowski was in control on the mound. Kettle Moraine Lutheran managed just two hits off of Kornowski, who allowed one earned run, walked two and struck out three during his seven innings of work.
West De Pere 9, Beaver Dam 1
The Beaver Dam Golden Beavers were 9-1 losers on Saturday at the hands of West DePere at Beaver Dam.
West DePere was sparked by Jack Paulson and Garrett Willems, who teamed up for six hits and four RBI.
West DePere never surrendered the lead after the third inning, scoring two runs on a two-run single by Willems.
Neenah 4, Wausau West 1
Neenah and Wausau West both had scoring chances on Saturday, but it was Neenah Rockets that was able to capitalize on them as it pulled out a 4-1 win at Neenah.
Wausau West got five hits compared with just two for the Rockets, but Wausau West stranded six on base.
Neenah Rockets' Matt Gruse was perfect at the dish, going 2-for-2. He tripled in the first inning and singled in the third inning.
Nathan Mulzer shut down Wausau West while he was on the bump. Mulzer gave up just two hits, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his three innings of work.
Wausau West 4, Neenah 1
Andrew Wolfe recorded the win for Wausau West. He allowed one run over five innings. Wolfe struck out one, walked one and gave up three hits.
Wausau West stayed on top until the final out after taking the lead in the third, scoring three runs on a fielder's choice and a two-run single by Wolfe.
Monroe 4, Mt. Horeb 3
Mitch Riese went 2-for-3, sparking the Monroe Cheesemakers to a 4-3 victory in seven innings over Mt. Horeb on Saturday.
Alex Einbeck handled Mt. Horeb's lineup with ease, racking up six strikeouts. Einbeck allowed three earned runs, six hits and one walk over seven innings.
Mt. Horeb 8, Monroe 0
Klayton Krantz, Jordan Haag and Jackson Gundlach helped lead Mt. Horeb. They combined for four hits and three RBI to seal the 8-0 victory over Monroe.
Pardeeville 5, Oakfield 4
Oakfield gave way to a Pardeeville walk-off single in the tenth inning, dropping a heartbreaker, 5-4, Saturday.
With the score tied at four, Tyler Griepentrog came to the plate and singled, driving in the game winning RBI.
