Evan Sperling Scouting Report

No. 7:  Evan Sperling 6-foot-6, 205 pound, RHP, 2015 (Univ. of Virginia)

The Virginia commit stands an imposing 6-foot-6 on the mound and throws from a low-3/4 arm slot with heavy sink..  Sperling generates plus movement while creating good deception.  His fastball ranges from 89-92 mph, topping out at 94 mph. Sperling’s height, coupled with his arm slot and velocity, make it very difficult for hitters to get the barrel on the ball consistently. He also possesses a slider that sits 73-75 mph and a changeup that sits 74-75 mph.
