PBR Future Games: Team Select Wins Two on Friday With Big Contributions From Tennessee Players

WESTFIELD, IN - Day one of the 2014 Future Games featured some highly talented players taking the field in near perfect conditions at Grand Park Baseball Complex, a top level complex with 22 baseball fields.
Team Select made up of 21 invited players from TN, OH, CO, IL, MN, VA, IN, KY, IA squared off with Team Wisconsin in game 1 and saw major contribution from Knoxville Farraguts 2016 Duncan Pence and Hardin Valley Academy's 2016 Tyler Thompson in their convincing 10-2 win.
Thompson came out firing with an 87-89 fastball, 90 from the stretch and a sharp slider that was 79. He had 3 k's and worked out of a bases loaded jam.
Duncan Pence was an impressive 2-for-3 with two singles and three RBI's while flashing the leather and showing the arm and range needed in the field while making a few highlight plays.
Team Select saw the same success In game two against Team Pennsylvania as they picked up a 7-4 win.
Pence was very busy in game 2 on the base paths. He drew two base on balls picked up one base hit, one stolen base and crossed the plate three times for the winning squad.
Gallatin High Schools 2017 Jordan Mason began to show the flashes of the top prospect many project he will soon develop into. Masons game speed was displayed where finished with two hits, one stolen base and one run scored.
