The Rode Show: Ayers, Cherry Go Deep

Sometimes things don’t go as planned. As of late last week, RHP Ashe Russell (Cathedral HS, IN) was expected to start in the city championship game on Tuesday. However, he got pushed to Thursday and that news didn’t make to me until about an hour before game time. Thankfully, Indiana’s 2015 class is deep and I was able to call an audible quickly enough to see a quality game. While I was disappointed to not see a game at the picturesque Victory Field in downtown Indianapolis, I headed north to see OFs Chris Ayers and Milo Beam of Westfield HS take on 3B/C/RHP Brady Cherry (Lapel HS, IN).
