By Nathan Rode and PBR Staff
Being a top prospect in any sport takes a lot of hard work. Excelling in multiple sports is even harder. The top prospects listed below show potential on the diamond, but haven’t given up their second—or even third—sports.
Connor Allen, 1B, Merritt Island HS, FL
Allen, a Miami recruit, looks the part of a physical, middle-of-the-order power hitter with his 6-foot-4, 210-pound frame. He has a strong lower half and short, level swing that generates above average bat speed and present plus power to his pull side. His strength and physicality projects well on the diamond, but are also beneficial on the gridiron. He was a starting tight end for Merritt Island, helping the team to a 7-4 record and playoff berth.
