When a tall, lean pitcher strides out to the mound, scouts take notice even before a pitch is thrown, but there is such a thing as being too tall. Taller athletes generally have longer limbs and longer limbs can lead to deliveries with moving parts that are hard to repeat. RHP Fitz Stadler (Glenbrook South HS, IL) seems to be an exception to that rule. At 6-foot-8, 215 pounds, the Arizona State recruit exhibits good athleticism by employing a simple, clean delivery.
