Sept. 1 marks the first day college coaches can contact high school juniors and about a dozen of the country’s top programs reached out to LHP/OF Spencer Van Scoyoc (Jefferson HS, IA). Baseball is in Van Scoyoc’s blood and many colleges would love to see his family’s lineage continue on their campus. He has already heard from schools like Florida, Iowa, Louisville, Nebraska, North Carolina, North Carolina State, San Diego, South Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia.

“It was really exciting, figuring out who was really interested in you,” Van Scoyoc said.
