When a student starts his college career at a four-year school, transfers to a two-year college and then transfers to a four-year school it is referred to as a 4-2-4 transfer per the NCAA manual.
If you are attending a two-year school after first being at a four-year school and you plan on transferring to an NCAA Division I school to play right away you need to: 1) complete an average of 12 hours per semester of transferable degree credit; 2) earn a 2.50 GPA in the transferable hours; 3) graduate from the two-year school; and 4) one year must have passed since you left the four-year school.
