On The Recruiting Trail: Damon Dues, SS, 2017

Height/Weight: 6-foot-2, 150-pounds
Ranked: 8th in Ohio's 2017 class
Scouting Report: 6-foot, 155-pound thin, athletic frame. Infielder uses a short arm action coming from a ¾ slot that produces a top velocity of 79 mph. Fields the ball out front nicely, cradling it to his stomach showing some softness in his hands, tends to take too many steps on his throws to first would like to see him shorten up footwork. Left-handed hitter starts from a balanced, crouched position, doesn’t use a hands trigger, simple swing mechanics short stride. Shows the ability to use both parts of the field. Gets good follow through after contact reaching a top exit velocity of 79 mph. Ran a 4.50 from home to first.
