This prestigious invitation-only event features only the top players in the Prep Baseball Report's 20-state coverage area. Over the last 12 years, the Super 60 has become the most heavily scouted preseason event for potential draft picks in the Midwest. The primary purpose of the Super 60 is to give professional area scouts and cross-checkers a head start to the high school season. The 2015 event was for Class of 2015 players and select 2016 prospects.

During the 2014 event, 82 professional scouts of all levels were in attendance. Since the event’s inception in 2003, more than 200 players have been selected in the MLB Draft. Last year saw 17 of the 30 pitchers touch 90 mph or better, while 23 of the 46 position players ran sub-6.80 60s. Fifteen past Super 60 participants were selected in the top 25 rounds last year alone.

The Super 60 is always held at the Max-McCook Athletic & Exposition Center’s state of-the-art 125,000 square-foot open turf facility. It is located in the southwest suburb of Chicago. To view more information about the outstanding complex please head to www.max-mccook.com.

Needless to say, the talent during the 2015 event that was on hand from the 16 states that were represented did not disappoint. We had players running 60’s in 6.50 and 6.60, the top exit velocity of the day was 97 mph, and I can’t count how many pitchers were 90 mph plus with their fastballs. We saw wipeout sliders and curveballs that were dropping off tables. Both the infielders and outfielders showed there athleticism and tools, with the top outfield velocity being 93 mph.

Overall it was a very successful day for all the players who attended, and all the MLB scouts who were able to fight off the weather to get an early look at all the potential draft candidates.

With the strong performance from Adam Wolf (Louisville commit), Cam Comer (Virginia commit), and Ryan Feltner (Ohio State commit) at the Super 60, below we take look ahead at possible players for next year's Super 60.
