Nicholson Looks Ready For Virginia

Apart from being national contenders the last few years, Virginia is also known for its pitching style under the tutelage of Karl Kuhn. At Virginia, pitchers start with a slight knee-bend in their windup and stay low throughout. While scouts generally pan the approach, it’s hard to argue with the results, as the Cavaliers have been dominant on the mound in recent years. A recruit’s delivery in high school doesn’t matter. He can expect to make the change when he walks on campus, so some take the extra step and start working with the delivery in high school. RHP Bobby Nicholson (St. Anne’s-Belfield HS, VA), a Class of 2016 prospect, lives just minutes from Virginia’s campus and is on that path.
