The Annual James Monroe Tournament in New York City kicked off Saturday morning with a rain altered schedule as the area experienced poor weather Friday night that made the natural grass fields unplayable. As a result each of the 24 teams played one game only on the turf fields of James Monroe, George Washington, Lehman and Newtown high schools. Prep Baseball Report-New York was on the ground in the Bronx for four games, checking some a couple of the PSAL's perennial favorites - while getting some inside scouting notes on some of the Top Performers.
