New England Insider: Uncommitted Underclass Spotlight - Collin Kahal, SS/3B

Scouting Report:
A right-handed hitting middle infielder. The frame is strong and athletic, has some room to fill out. The hands and lower half are strong. Showed very well at this workout. At the plate, the stance is slightly open and balanced. The hands are set just above the shoulders and back elbow is extended out. The path is level through the ball, has a two-handed finish, could stay through it a bit more towards the end. The lower half is under control and is on time with his stride foot. The tee exit velocity was 85 mph, has some juice to his swing. In the field, he shows soft hands and can play all three spots, probably better suited for second or third but can defend at short if needed. Arm action is short, gets ball out front and transfer is crisp and clean into throwing position. The feet are good, needs to keep them moving after the throw. Strength is good, needs to continue to work on his quickness. Definite follow for me.
