Top Uncommitted Underclass Corner Infielders
Matthew Gray, 3B/RHP/OF, Dexter, 2017
Ranked: 17th in Class of 2017
Scouting Report: Strong and athletic third baseman who can also play first base and the outfield. Runs well for a bigger guy, 7.12 with a clean gait. Threw 79 from third base and showed a solid glove. Played a solid outfield, just needs repetitions. At first base, he needs to coaching but that position may suite him down the line. At the plate, his path is long and flat. Power potential to all fields sticks out during batting practice. I would like to see him get his feet under control at the plate. Tee exit velocity of 91 and if he gets enough bats, he could scare people in the middle of a lineup.
