This prestigious invitation-only event features only the top players in the Prep Baseball Report's 20-state coverage area. Over the last 12 years, the Super 60 has become the most heavily scouted preseason event for potential draft picks in the Midwest. The primary purpose of the Super 60 is to give professional area scouts and cross-checkers a head start to the high school season. The 2015 event was for Class of 2015 players and select 2016 prospects.

During the 2014 event, 82 professional scouts of all levels were in attendance. Since the event’s inception in 2003, more than 200 players have been selected in the MLB Draft. Last year saw 17 of the 30 pitchers touch 90 mph or better, while 23 of the 46 position players ran sub-6.80 60s. Fifteen past Super 60 participants were selected in the top 25 rounds last year alone.

The Super 60 is always held at the Max-McCook Athletic & Exposition Center’s state of-the-art 125,000 square-foot open turf facility. It is located in the southwest suburb of Chicago. To view more information about the outstanding complex please head to www.max-mccook.com.

Potential Candidates for Super 60 in 2016

Certainly the Super 60 opens the eyes of many young men, they come together and meet different players from across the US. A tremendous experience to say the least. Thomas Lane took the pride of Massachusetts this year and showed well in Chitown. Congrats to him and he can spread the word on how much fun and exposure he received from being there.
