We are less than a week away from the start of practice for high school baseball in the state Michigan. The Michigan 2016 class has had made big strides in the off-season. Several pitchers in the 2016 class have seen velocity increases as we enter the spring and you will see the result of that within the updated rankings.

Below we take a look at "What's New At The Top", "The Risers", as well as "The Newcomers".

What's New At The Top

The 2016 rankings have been update, Jackson Gillis (LHP, Wilmington) still sits atop the board. The lefty sits in the upper-80s now with a ton of life on his fastball. He repeats his delivery, is a very good athlete.

The rest of the top five remains relatively the same as these players continue to hone their craft as the spring season quickly approached. The class of 2016 in Massachusetts is a very good one and it should be a fun spring and summer of baseball development for these prospects.
