In the Box: Simple is not bad, so stop searching for a better swing

You have worked hard for your swing. In scout speak, it “plays” at the highest levels and performs at the highest level you’re at right now. You are finally showing yourself and scouts/recruiters you can compete against the best pitching you will see at this moment. It finally has clicked for you and the work is paying off. You are at the top of your game and very few can rival you.
But alas, it’s not good enough for you.
Your swing and approach can’t be that simple, right? There has to be more to it than what you’re doing now.
Yes, you’re doing well at the plate. Yes, you feel confident and comfortable. But for some reason this isn’t good enough. You may listen to some people. They might have ideas and thoughts on what you can or should do. You have doubts that creep into your mind. You wonder if you can get your swing even better than it already is.
And then you go ahead and ruin it for yourself.
