Grayslake North (13-15, 5-7 Fox Valley Fox) shocked the state and No. 6 Prairie Ridge (25-5, 11-2 Fox Valley Fox) ending the Wolves 20-game winning-streak 7-5. Danny Yates went deep with the bases juiced, in the Knights huge six-run first inning in Crystal Lake. George Deligiannis had three hits including a double and drove home one Knight run.

Normal Community (18-13, 9-5 Big 12) blanked archrival and Big 12 leader Normal West 2-0 and sent the Wildcats into a first-place tie with No.16 Champaign Central. Normal’s Aaron Armstrong and Jackson Bronke, combined for a three-hit shutout of Normal West (21-8, 11-2 Big 12). Armstrong (2-5) allowed the three hits in his five scoreless innings, to pick up the win. Armstrong hand nine punchouts. Bronke fired two hitless innings of relief with three strikeouts to nail down the save. Alec Trela tripled the first Ironman run in, in the first inning. Jake Wegner playing in his first game since having a cancerous growth removed in February, went 2-for-2 and drove home the second Ironman run with an RBI single, in the fourth.
