Elgin (2-5, 1-0 River) defeated East Aurora (0-2, 0-1 Valley) behind Clay White who singled and plated two Maroon runs. Brandon Stork allowed three earned runs and eight hits in six innings to pick up the win. Eddie Ramos nailed down the save.
NONCONFERENCE
No. 5 O’Fallon 3, Greenup County 2
O’Fallon (8-2) rallied past GC, scoring three times in the bottom of the sixth to erase a 2-0 GC lead and go on to a thrilling, come-from-behind victory. Cam Bauer drove home the game-winner on a sac-fly that scored Bradley Snyder. Snyder’s RBI single drove home the first Panther run of the inning. Bradley Harrison nailed down the save in the top of the seventh for Panther winning pitcher Max Schaefer.
