SHOCKER OF THE DAY
La Salle Peru (7-6, 1-1 Northern Illinois Big 12 West) stunned previously undefeated Geneseo 3-2 in nine shocking innings behind Shawn Feagin. Feagin went the distance, allowing two runs and eight hits and handing Geneseo (16-1, 4-1 N.Illinois Big 12 West) its first taste of defeat in 2015. Feagin fanned 10 Maple Leaf batters. Brady Huebbe singled to lead off the Cavalier top of the ninth and scored the eventual winning run on a ground out off the bat of Austin Paysizyski. Feagin finished off the Maple Leafs in the bottom of the ninth and set off an on the field Cavalier celebration. Kyle Quick had two hits and plated a run for LP.

No. 3 Mount Carmel (17-1) overwhelmed Washington 22-0 behind Scott Kapers. Kapers had two hits including a homer and plated four Caravan runs. Alek Thomas also homered and drove in two,
No. 4 Chatham Glenwood (15-0, 9-0 Central State 8) hammered Springfield Lanphier 13-1 behind Nick Maton and Jake Ryan. Maton (7-0) fired a four-hitter at the Lions with five strikeouts. Jake Ryan went 4-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI for Glenwood. Ben Trask added three hits including a triple and plated three Titan runs. Kyle Hall chipped in with a single and four RBI.
