Lake Park 9, Naperville Central 7
Lake Park (4-5; 1-1) outslugged the Red Hawks in eight exciting innings in Naperville. After Naperville Central (6-6; 1-1) scored three times in the bottom of the seventh to send the game to extra innings, the Lancers went to work in the top of the eighth. A Redhawk opened up the inning for LP. Senior Ethan Schulz made NC pay for its mistake when he ripped an RBI single to left to give the Lancers the lead. Junior Kenny Schutz added an insurance run, his third RBI of the game, on a sac-fly. Lancer closer sophomore Colin Fowich knocked down the Redhawks in order to nail down the save for winning-pitcher Brandon Popp. Sophomore C Dom Fallico led the Lancer attack with three hits and three RBI.

Fremd 12, Hersey 11
Fremd (7-4; 2-0 West) outslugged Hersey in a wild one in Palatine. With two out and nobody on base Viking senior Mack Rosman stepped into the box. Rosman hit the first pitch, soaring over the left field fence for a Viking walk-off win. Hersey had leads of 7-2 and 11-6 and the Vikings just kept coming back. Fremd scored five times in the bottom of the sixth to tie the affair at 11-11. Rosman finished 3-for-3 while senior Matthew Gura added two singles and three RBI.
