Prep Baseball Report's IA Preseason All-State event has become an annual "Who's Who" held at the SportsPlex West Facility in Waukee, IA. The event features prospects from the sophomore and junior classes from Iowa, Minnesota and Nebraska who showcase their talents in front of our scouting staff.

Prep Baseball Report Iowa has drilled down into the statistics from the inaugural 2015 event and compared it to the 2016 event highlighting the strength of players throughout numerous grad classes in the above mentioned states.

Below we have provided a statistical over-view from each event; ultimately creating a running leader board in each statistical category for the IA Preseason All-State.

As we drill down into the statistics:

2015 Breakdown
+ 16 players ran sub-7.2 60's.
+ 12 players recorded 85+ mph exit velocities
+ 13 players recorded 80+ mph infield throws
+ 6 players recorded 80+ mph outfield throws
+ 9 catchers recorded 70+ mph throws to second base
+ 8 catchers recorded sub-2.1 pop times
+ 28 pitchers were 80+ mph on the mound

2016 Breakdown
+ 21 players ran sub-7.2 60's.
+ 39 players recorded 85+ mph exit velocities
+ 23 players recorded 80+ mph infield throws
+ 13 players recorded 80+ mph outfield throws
+ 13 catchers recorded 70+ mph throws to second base
+ 5 catchers recorded sub-2.1 pop times
+ 41 pitchers were 80+ mph on the mound
