With events nearly every week, all over the country, prospects making the rounds on the summer showcase circuit generally live out of a suitcase as they rarely spend more than a few days at a time at home. C Chris Betts (Wilson HS, CA) is no exception, but for one week in August, he enjoyed a rare chance to sleep in his own bed while still playing in front of dozens of scouts against top competition.
“It's definitely nice,” he said. “Playing games and going back to sleep in my own bed is definitely something I'm not used to for the summer travel. It's awesome. Family and friends are out. I get to go home in between games.”
