LONDON, Ont. – When you’ve got a big lefty, it makes sense to try him on the mound.
At 6-foot-5 and 195 pounds, the Great Lake Canadians have a southpaw in Matt Warkentin that they see a lot of potential in. The two-way player is still learning his craft on the hill but the future looks bright with opportunities in both his bat and his throwing arm.
Though he still has his heart set on getting time in on the field each and every day, the 17-year-old works hard at all of his respective positions and is willing to do whatever it might take in order to just keep playing baseball.
