This week's Super 16 Rankings include four new teams making a first appearance. Improved weather conditions allowed for many teams to begin the process of catching up on a laundry list of cancellations while others struggled to find fields that were playable.
Following is a look at the new teams that have entered the rankings by classification. CLICK HERE to see the complete Week 3 rankings.
Class AAAA
Parkland (5-0) remains atop the 4A rankings with their dominant pitching limiting opponents to four runs through five games. Entering the rankings this week at #8 is Boyertown (4-0) and at #12 is Pine-Richland (5-1).
Class AAA
West York (4-0), the two-time defending 3A champs, remain at #1 in the Week 3 rankings. The only new team to enter the 3A poll this week is #16 Harriton which is off to a 5-0 start.
Class aA
The 2A poll remains unchanged but there has been a shake-up in the order of the teams. #1 Loyalsock Township, the defending 2A champs, are off to a 2-0 start and remain at the top of the list. Nine of the 16 teams remain undefeated through the first month of the season.
Class a
Like the 2A poll, the 1A teams that appeared in Week 2 also appear in Week 3 in the exact same order. Still sitting atop the class is Bishop McCort (2-1) the 2012 Class A state title winners.
Independent teams
Malvern Prep (9-1) continues to be the class of the PAISAA. New to the top five spots among independent schools this week is #5 The Perkiomen School (3-1) who authored a big win over #3 The Haverford School this past week.
