2B/RHP Dalton Haymaker is a 5-foot-9, 170-pound prospect that showed well at the PA Top Prospect Games in June. Haymaker displayed quick hands and good hips during a solid round of batting practice hitting out of a slightly open stance. He showcased an 80 mph bat exit velocity and a solid arm on throws of 77 mph across the diamond. Haymaker showed promise in his work on the mound. The righty sat 78-81 out of a high 3/4 arm slot. He also commanded an 11/5 breaking curveball at 70 mph and a 66 mph changeup thrown at near fastball arm speed.
His performance at Bucknell University came on the heels of Delone Catholic's run in the state playoffs. Haymaker tossed a complete game shutout as Delone Catholic defeated Kutztown for the District 3 Class AA championship. The title was the first ever for Delone Catholic.
The uncommitted senior was selected to the Evening Sun All-Area baseball 1st Team. He was the ace for the Squires going 5-1 with a 1.36 ERA in 51.1 innings pitched. He threw four complete games including two shutouts with 38 strikeouts.
