Ryan Malloy is a 6-foot, 180-pound Class of 2015 OF/SS from Holy Ghost Prep who showed well at the Eastern PA Open ID Showcase in January. His performance earned him a spot on Team Pennsylvania's roster for the 2013 Midwest Future Games in August. Malloy was one of the most impressive position players at the event. The sophomore showed athletic actions in the outfield with an 81 mph throwing arm. Malloy has quick feet and runs a sub-7.0 60-yard dash.
He also showcased one of the top bat exit velocities on the day at 91 mph. Malloy displayed very quick hands and the ability to consistently drive the baseball during his round of batting practice. With slight adjustments to his lower half, he could develop legitimate power in his swing.
Malloy has a frame that suggests he will continue to fill out. He is currently ranked No. 35 in the PA Class of 2015 and will be a high follow over the next three years.
