November 19, 2012
Prep Baseball Report is running a series of articles this week that look at many of the top unsigned seniors who remain in in our eight state coverage area. These in-depth PBR Plus articles break down the most talented prospects in each state that have yet to make a college commitment. Players will be covered by position beginning with the catchers on November 19.
One day in advance of the PBR Plus story evaluating each position, PBR Pennsylvania will be highlighting the top unsigned senior at that position in the state of Pennsylvania.
Dan Toner, a 6-foot, 170-pound shortstop from Gateway HS is the top unsigned senior middle infielder remaining in the Prep Baseball Report Pennsylvania Class of 2013 rankings. The PA Top Prospect Games participant ran a 7.25 60-yard dash, showcased a solid arm on throws of 79mph across the infield and used an 86mph bat exit speed to create barrel whip during a strong round of batting practice. He is coming off a 2012 high school season in which he batted .479. Toner is ranked No. 64 in the Class of 2013.
