Jake Horew is a 5-foot-11, 160-pound SS/RHP from Chartiers Valley HS. The unsigned senior has run a sub 7.00 60-yard dash on several occasions and has a strong arm from the outfield (89mph) and infield (86mph). The three year starter was an All-Section selection in 2011 and 2012. He has also been used as a pitcher, topping out at 86mph.
Horew plays his summer and fall baseball with the Pittsburgh Diamond Dawgs. The unsigned senior has the potential to be a two-way player at the next level. With his athleticism and strong arm, Horew has the ability to pitch, play multiple infield positions and all three outfield positions.
Horew will showcase his versatility at the Preseason All-State Showcase on February 23. CLICK HERE for a roster of those prospects who will be in attendance.
