By Greg Williams
PA Director of Scouting
The pitching rotations for each of the six teams that will participate in the PA Top Prospect games have been released. Scouts in attendance won't need their morning coffee to wake up because LHP LaRon Mitchell will toe the rubber to start the event off as his Black Team takes on the Red Team. Mitchell is a 6-foot-5, 215-pound prospect from Susquehanna Township HS that is ranked No. 5 in PA and No. 35 in the PBR combined Class of 2014 rankings. The athletic junior sat 88-90 at the Preseason All-State Showcase in February.
RHP Shane Ennis will make the lengthy trip from Romney, WV to make the start for the Gold Team in the final game on Day One. The 6-foot-2, 185-pound junior had a 2-3 record in 2013 with 8 saves and 68 strikeouts in 40 innings of work, mostly out of the bullpen for Hampshire HS. Ennis hit .447 with 38 RBI, 10 doubles, a triple and six home runs.
All told, 42 pitchers will toe the rubber over two days. CLICK HERE for rotations for all six teams.
