Pennsylvania Wraps up Midwest Future Games With a Win

Team Pennsylvania wrapped up play at the 2013 Midwest Future Games with its first ever win in the event, a 6-4 victory over Illinois. Team PA departs Indiana University with a 1-1-1 record following a 5-5 tie with Team Missouri, a 7-4 loss against Team Ohio and today's win against Illinois. Team PA completed the 2012 edition of the Midwest Future Games at 0-1-2.
Zach Minnick's two-run home run in the top of the 4th inning gave Team PA a 2-1 lead that it never relinquished. Team PA tacked on three runs in the 5th inning on an RBI triple from Shane Churma, an RBI double from Ryan Malloy and an RBI single by Tommy Baggett.
Chris Rabasco singled and scored in the 7th inning to give Team PA a 6-2 lead. RHP Noah Malone worked out of a jam in the bottom half of the inning with a strikeout and a groundout to strand two Illinois base runners.
Game 3 Highlights
+ Minnick's two-run home run carried some 380 feet and nearly struck the scoreboard in left CF.
+ Ryan Malloy went 2-for-2 with an RBI.
+ Chris Rabasco went 2-for-2 and worked a 1-2-3 6th inning on the mound.
