Kevin BarronAt 6-foot-4, 195-pounds, 1B/OF Kevin Barron has the athleticism to play both positions at the next level. Barron has shown good feet (7.36 60-yard dash) and an above average arm (85 mph from the outfield) at several PBR events in the past six months. The right-handed hitter has showcased power potential out of a slightly open stance with solid extension to his swing. Barron uses an explosive lower half to create barrel whip and a bat exit velocity of 88 mph. He showed a glimpse of that power when he drilled a two-run home run at Temple University during the Fall College Prospect Program.

Following his performance as a member of Team Pennsylvania at the Midwest Future Games in August, Barron has been busy making college visits and showcasing his talents for college coaches. According to Barron, "I have visited Ursinus, Stony Brook, La Salle, Elon, and Coastal Carolina. I have attended camps at Coastal Carolina, Elon, Neumann, and Diamond Nation in Flemington, NJ. I participated in the Extra Bases Fall Ball League showcase at La Salle University as well as a Showcase at the Camden Riversharks Stadium run by All-Star Baseball Academy. I also participated in the Prep Baseball Report Fall College Prospect Program at Temple, Widener and Misericordia Universities."

Barron has set a tentative timeline for making a college decision. "I will be playing this summer for the B2B Bombers in tournaments up and down the east coast. I feel that I will be making a college decision between the end of my junior year and sometime during the course of my summer season. I have received one Division I offer and am in contact with a few other schools that have expressed interest."

Barron, an everyday starter as a sophomore for the Hatters, showed the power potential that has drawn interest from college scouts. Barron had 10 hits in 2013 and hit .206, but seven of those hits went for extra bases.
