Perkiomen School right-handed pitcher Levi Stoudt first jumped onto our radar following early season wins over The Haverford School and Springside Chestnut Hill in back-to-back April starts his sophomore year. He added a third Inter-Ac notch to his belt with a win over eventual PAISAA champ Malvern Prep the next month. On the season, the 5-foot-11, 160-pounder finished 7-1 while allowing 57 hits and 15 walks, recording 43 strikeouts, in 54.2 innings.
Our first look at Stoudt came in late April of that year. He worked in the upper-70s, touching 80-mph with his fastball and pounded the strike zone (he threw 65% strikes for the season). He mixed in a slurvy breaking ball, but preferred a vulcan-grip change-up as his top secondary offering. Two months later, at the PBR PA Underclass Games, Stoudt's fastball sat 83-85 with armside run out of a high-3/4 slot and he continued to feature that quality change-up.
Stoudt is part of a strong returning nucleus for the Panthers, who finished as the runner-up in the PAISAA tournament to Malvern Prep in 2014.
