The 2nd weekend of the Fall College Prospect Program came to a close with a date at Widener University. The day belonged to LHP Zach Guth (Franklin HS, Class of 2015), who worked three scoreless innings on the mound sitting 84-86 while touching 87. The lefty recorded eight of his nine outs by strikeout and showed significant run to his fastball and changeup.
Outfielders Patrick Clement (York Catholic HS, Class of 2014) and Remy Costa (East Stroudsburg North HS, Class of 2014) also had big days. Clement went 2-for-3 at the plate with two triples and Costa went 2-for-3 with a double. Costa also showed above average range in the outfield.
The fall program takes a break for the Labor Day weekend and the NCAA quiet period before picking up again at Misericordia University (9/7) and at Mansfield University (9/8). Over the coming days we will break down the prospects that showcased their talents this past weekend at Temple University (8/24) and Widener University (8/25).
