Keystone Oaks LHP Jared Skolnicki is the PBR District 7 Pitcher of the Year. The 6-foot-2, 170-pound lefty lost 1-0 on an unearned run on May 28 but sandwiched 11 wins around that to finish his senior season at 11-1 with a 0.28 ERA. Along the way Skolnicki started and went the distance 10 times. He worked 76 innings and struck out 111 batters while walking just 14. The unearned run given up in the loss to West Allegheny was one of 4 total runs he allowed on the year, with the other three being earned. For the season opposing hitters batted a paltry .136 against him
Skolnicki, a Kent State recruit, showed his athleticism by also getting the job done offensively. The left handed hitter had four doubles, three triples and a home run while hitting .435 for the Eagles.
