- An eight run 1st inning, powered by a grand slam from 2013 OF Pete Auteri (3-for-3, two 2B, HR, six RBI) was more than enough for the Explorers. Notre Dame-bound Chris Melillo went 3-for-3 with five RBI.
#5 Norwin 10 Connellsville 0
- 2014 RHP Noah Smith (right) hurled a CG 3-hitter with nine strikeouts. 2013 leadoff man Casey Rebosky went 3-for-4 to lead a 10-hit attack.
Hampton 2 #10 North Allegheny 1
- Derek Layo scored the winning run on a passed ball in the fifth to help host Hampton (4-1) edge North Allegheny (2-1).
#11 West York 2 Northeastern 1

2015 OF Brett Kinneman singled home 2013 Joe Prego in the bottom of the 7th with the winning run. Prego also picked up the win on the mound going all seven innings while giving up six hits and one earned run.
#12 Bethel Park 4 #13 Central Catholic 1
- Bethel Park plated four early runs and Alderson-Broaddus commit Tyler Grashoff (CG, 5 H, 1 BB, 3 K) made them stand up against Central Catholic.
#18 Hopewell 10, New Castle 0
- In his first varsity start, Hopewell pitcher Mitch Bufalini allowed one hit and struck out seven for the Vikings (6-0) in a 10-0, five-inning triumph against visiting New Castle (1-3).
South Williamsport 9 #19 Loyalsock Township 5
- South Williamsport (4-0) downed Loyalsock Township (3-1) in an early season battle of league favorites. Billy Rummings went the distance for the win and Ryan Orgitano hit a home run to fuel the offense.
#20 Coatesville 8, Avon Grove 4
- CJ Young (Harford CC) went 3-for-4 with two runs, a double and an RBI in support of 2013 Clint Leslie (CG, 8 H, 4 R, 2 ER, 2 BB, 5 K).
Central Bucks East 13, #24 North Penn 12
- East Stroudsburg-bound C/1B Ben Hauser (4-4, 2 R, 2B, 3 RBI) and 2013 OF Vince Careghini (3-3, R, BB, RBI) spearheaded a 17-hit barrage and the Patriots held off a late rally from the Knights to win.
Lancaster Catholic 11, Lancaster Mennonite 1
- 2015 RHP/C Willie Burger (right) spun a 6-inning no-hitter with 8 K, 4 BB, 2 HBP, and 1 unearned run. Bryan Haberstroh (NJIT) connected for a grand slam in LC's 8-run 6th that put the game out of reach.
Ben Franklin 7, Roxborough 1
- 6-foot-3, 180-pound 2013 RHP Khalil Coles struck out 13 in a Philadelphia Public B tilt.
Thomas Jefferson 12, Ringgold 4
- 2013 catcher Jared Carranza and 2014 1B Eric Fairman each slugged a grand slam in support of a complete game effort by 2014 RHP David Stover (9 H, 4 R, 2 ER, 0 BB, 4 K, 79% strikes). 2014 IF Joseph McHugh added a home run, a double and two RBI of his own.
