- A five-run top of the ninth provided the winning margin, as five Souderton hitters tallied multiple hits, led by 2013 OF Kyle Wenger (3-5, 3 R, 2B, RBI).
#9 Boyertown 5, Pottstown 2
- 2013 RHP Mitch Renninger pitched into the seventh inning to pick up the win, as the Bears handed Pottstown its first loss of the season.
#6 Bonner-Prendergast 10, #22 Archbishop Carroll 1
- The Friars move to 4-0 in the Catholic League with a convincing two-game sweep over their Top 25 opponent. 2013 RHP Dan Furman (Pittsburgh) picked up the win, while 2013 3B Frank Saviski (Gwynedd-Mercy) went 2-4 with a 3B and 5 RBI.
Truman 1, #14 Council Rock South 0
- 2013 RHP/3B Shane Monahan tossed a complete game, two-hitter, and knocked in the only run.
#15 Neumann-Goretti 6, Lansdale Catholic 4
- The Saints completed the two-game sweep of LC this week, with 2013 RHP John LaMotta (Marymount) picking up the win and 2016 OF Brian Verratti going 2-3 with 3 R and 3 SB.
#16 Parkland 6, Freedom 5
- 2013 catcher Damin Muth (Bloomsburg) and 2015 IF Chris Rabasco both went 2-4 as Parkland picked up an extra-inning, walk-off win.
#17 Germantown Academy 6, Peddie School (NJ) 5
- Peddie scored four runs in the last two innings, but it wasn't enough, as GA held on for the inter-state victory.
#21 Central Bucks South 3, North Penn 1
- Monmouth-bound Ricky Dennis (right) outdueled Bloomsburg signee Bryce Mengel in a huge early-season SOL Continental match-up. The top six hitters in the line-up tallied all runs, hits, and RBI for the victors.
Haverford School 12, Archbishop Wood 11
- 2015 IF Kevin McGowan had 3 hits and 5 RBI, while 2013 OF Drew Field hit a walk-off HR. 2013 OF Brett McCrossen hit his second HR in as many games for Wood.
William Allen 8, Nazareth 4
- 3-spots in the 5th and 6th innings lifted the Canaries to victory over the Blue Eagles. 2015 IF Justin Kratz went 2-4 with a 2B, 2 R, 2 RBI, and a SB out of the leadoff spot.
West Allegheny 18, Fort Cherry 3
- The Indians racked up 15 hits and 8 walks on their way to crooked numbers in each of their turns at the dish in a game shorted to four innings by the mercy rule. 2013 1B Shea Beaumont cracked two HR as part of a 3-3, 4 R, 4 RBI effort. 2015 Util Michael Cummings went 1-1 with a 3B, 2 R, 3 RBI, 3 BB and a SB.
State College 6, Carlisle 3
- 2015 3B/RHP Ryan Karstetter (Virginia) went 1-3 with a 2B and 2 RBI, while 2013 OF Dan Fry (2-4, 2 R, SB) and 2013 IF Nick Smith (2-3, R, BB, RBI) set the table at the top of the order.
Central Bucks East 9, Central Bucks West 0
- 2013 RHP Blair Killough twirled a CG 3-hitter with five strikeouts. 2013 C/1B Benjamin Hauser (East Stroudsburg) tallied a 3-run HR and 2014 IF/RHP Brandon Birkhead (right), fresh off picking up the win with two hitless innings in the previous game, recorded his second straight multi-hit effort.
