Many of the top Class of 2014 and 2015 prospects in Pennsylvania and Maryland will participate in the 2nd Annual Big 26 Classic beginning tonight at 7:05pm. The two teams from neighboring states will play a three games series over the next three days at Metro Bank Park, the home of the Eastern League's Harrisburg Senators in Harrisburg, PA.
Festivities kicked off today with both teams getting in a workout followed by a challenger game that paired players from both teams with special needs players from the Harrisburg area.
Laron Mitchell, ranked No. 11 in the PA Class of 2014, highlights a talented Pennsylvania roster. The 6-foot-5, 215-pound lefty is one of nine pitchers that will take the mound for Team PA.
The two teams will lock up at 7:05 today, at 4:35 on Saturday and at 1:35 on Sunday. Look for game recaps and prospect analysis during the course of the event.
