Allegheny College Announces 2013 Commitments

Allegheny College, battling for a spot in the NCAC Championships with a double header at home today against DePauw, has announced six recent commitments from Western Pennsylvania players. All six players play in the rugged WPIAL.
Corey Keenan, RHP, Hempfield Area HS
- Keenan is ranked No. 149 in the PA Class of 2013. He is a 6-foot, 170-pound RHP whose stalk rose last summer when he was named to the All-Tournament Team at the WWBA 17U National Championships.
Shea Beaumont, 1B/RHP, West Allegheny HS
- Beaumont is a 5-foot-11, 230-pound 1B/RHP that is hitting .222 with five home runs and 14 RBI this spring. The left-handed hitter has also walked 13 times for a .397 on base percentage.
Garret Vrbanic, SS/2B, Central Catholic HS
- Vrbanic is currently ranked No. 229 in the PA Class of 2013. He is a 5-foot-11, 175-pound SS/2B runs a 7.15 60-yard dash and has an 83 mph arm across the diamond.
James Sirio, LHP/OF, Fox Chapel HS
- Sirio is a 5-foot-10, 165-pound LHP/OF from Fox Chapel HS. He sits 76-78 with his fastball and has command of a 66mph curveball as well. Sirio is 2-0 this spring with a 3.71 ERA.
Ian Frazier, C, Upper St. Clair HS
- Frazier is a 5-foot-11, 170-pound catcher from Upper St. Clair HS. He has played travel baseball in the same PA Redhawks program that has produced a number of Division I commits in the past several years.
- Julian is a 6-foot-1, 180-pound RHP from Montour HS. He is 3-2 this season with a 3.13 ERA in 31.1 innings of work.
