Results from Tournament 12 Scout Day at Rogers Centre
Tuesday was scout day, an opportunity to show your tools to pro scouts and colleges, for all participants in Tournament 12. Ontario Black, Ontario Green, and the Futures Team all had their turn at the Rogers Centre to showcase their skills through the 60 yard dash, batting practice, and defensive evaluations.
Team Canada members Demi Orimoloye, Josh Naylor, Darren Shred, Mike Soroka, and JF Garon were all missing in action today as the Junior National Team is still delayed in Mexico. We wish the staff and players safe travels home.

TOP PERFORMERS AT THE PLATE
Plenty of tools were on display during batting practice for all three Ontario teams at Tournament 12 scout day.
Power from the Left Side
Showing the ability for some serious power from the left side were Brad Aldred and Luke Van Rycheghem from the Futures team. Each player was able to get good extension through the ball, with Aldred leaving the yard twice.
Middle of the Order Bats
Jacob Simms, Eric Senior, and Cooper Lamb all had quality rounds and should be middle of the lineup type hitters for Ontario Black.
For Ontario Green, Matt Warkentin and Ryan Rijo made hard contact to the alleys. With their size and strength it’s not hard to imagine that there is more power to come.
Quality Contact Hitters
Getting away from the long ball, there were numerous players who showed impressive barrel control with quiet and balanced swings. Cooper Davis, Miles Gordon, and Tristan Pompey all sprayed line drives across the field showing their ability to make quality contact.
TOP PERFORMER OF THE DAY
Although he is a 2017 grad, Adam Hall from the Great Lake Canadians was the standout of the morning workouts. Hall ran a 6-5 60, showed good actions during his ground ball work with a strong arm, and his short, quick swing produced solid contact to all fields. Hall is a definite follow for all top college programs for the class of 2017.
