Team Ontario Future Games Spotlight: Trevor Lethbridge, RHP

On July 30th through August 1st, PBR Ontario will take a select team of players in the Classes of 2017 and 2018 to represent Ontario at the PBR Future Games in Indianapolis at Grand Park.

Players receive exposure unlike any other event for underclassmen. Last year, 100+ colleges from all over the country were in attendance, including coaches from every Division I power conference in the country. Only players who have a legitimate shot at being a Division I recruit and who have an interest in the possibility of making a verbal commitment during their sophomore or junior seasons have been considered.

Team Ontario Future Games Spotlight: Trevor Lethbridge, RHP

Height/Weight: 6-foot-1, 195-pounds
High School: Lawrence Park Collegiate

Past Showcase/In-Game Performances:
Date: 6/3/15
Scouting Report: Loose arm with some whip to it. Lethbridge has yet to give up an earned run this year. Fastball was 80 mph on the night while his curveball showed some late biting action at 67 mph. Chance he will throw hard with the arm speed he has and the 6-foot-1, 192-pound frame.

Scouting Report: 5-foot-11, 177-pounds medium frame with room to add strength. Arm action is quick out of glove, quick out front. Slings it a bit from his ¾ angle. At times can get underneath ball, better action when on top and out front. Fastball was 77-79 mph with some late life to it. Curveball was best pitch, threw it hard at 67-69 mph. Rotation was tight with some bite in the strike zone. Makings of a go to pitch. Changeup was 70-73 mph with arm-side run. Repeatable mechanics and actions will give Lethbridge chance to throw hard one day.

Thoughts on being selected to play in PBR's Future Games and representing Ontario: "I was thrilled to be chosen to represent Team Ontario at the Future Games. It is a great honour and I'm looking forward to helping the team do well. I want to thank my Toronto Mets coaches for helping come this far."

How has PBR helped as far as recruiting and exposure: "PBR and Ontario Scouting Director Chris Kemlo have been amazing. I have gained a lot of exposure because of PBR."

Athletic awards or academic accolades that you have received (All-State teams, Preseason all-state teams, league honors, honor roll, etc): "I helped my high school varsity team get to the Regional Finals this season. I was the winning pitcher in the Regional Semifinals."

2015 Statistics: "I don't have my exact stats, but I had not given up an earned run through my first eight appearances this summer."

Anything else you would like to add: "I would like to thank PBR for selecting me to help represent Ontario and I can't wait to pitch at the Future Games."
