2016 Spring Team Preview: Ironton Fighting Tigers
Team Name: Ironton Fighting Tigers
Head Coach: Larry Goodwin
Division: III
2015 Record: 12-11
Conference Record: Ohio Valley Conference, 4-8
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 5/5
2016 Team Strengths:
- Pitching Depth
- Hitting
- Speed
- Defense
2016 Team Weaknesses:
- #1 Starter
- Experience in the outfield
Coach Outlook: "We are still young, we will only have two seniors in starting lineup. However, many of our sophomore and juniors will be starters for the 2nd and 3rd season respectively, We do not have a true number one starter yet, but we go 6+ deep in our pitching staff."
PBR Outlook: Coach Goodwin and the Fighting Tigers have the offense, pitching depth and defense to compete. Will their lack of a #1 starter be their downfall or will their overall depth on the mound be enough for Ironton.
