2016 Spring Team Preview: Benjamin Logan Raiders
Team Name: Benjamin Logan Raiders
Head Coach: Jim Fawcett
Division: II
2015 Record: 26-3
Conference Record: Central Buckeye Conference - Mad River Division, 16-0
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 5/2
2016 Team Strengths:
- Speed
- Experience
- Outfield defense
2016 Team Weaknesses:
- Pitching depth
- Middle of the order offensively
Coach Outlook: "We lost two All Ohio players in Austin Cline (Dayton) and Zane Collins (Wright State) which will be huge holes to fill. Returning five starters (1 senior, 4 juniors) is a nice start and those players will have to take on much larger roles this upcoming season. Pitching depth is something that we will be concerned about going into the season but our two returning pitchers will be asked to lead the staff and continue developing."
PBR Outlook: What a season the Benjamin Logan Raiders had in 2015, a 26-3 record says it all. In 2016, the Raiders will have to replace two of the top players who were All-State performers that are off to Division I colleges in Austin Cline and Zane Collins.
