Prep Baseball Report (PBR) - New York is proud to announce that they are teaming up with Varsity 845 and the Times Herald Record of Middletown, NY to help further keep our followers up to date with scores, recaps and feature articles. Varsity 845 will be providing access to their daily reports of games to PBR-NY staff and our followers as we continue to enhance our coverage of the Empire State. Varsity 845's coverage zones will include primarily Section 9 which features Sullivan, Orange and Ulster Counties.
Let us catch you up to date with some early season action as high schools are just starting to get on their fields across the region. Monroe-Woodbury is off to a quick start featuring Nick Fini's 3 hitter over Ardsley. Fini was seen by PBR-NY at the Pro Prospects January 17th Showcase at Sullivan CC and was mentioned as one the top performers for the 2015 group.
+ Nicholas Fini, LHP/OF, Monroe-Woodbury HH
Projected better on the mound where he sat at 78-79 MPH with some glove side cut action to FB. Threw a sweeping slider at 71-73 MPH to both sides of the plate. Showed quick arm with slight recoil during finish. At 5-foot-9, 160-pounds he gets downhill to the best of his ability.
