Q & A with Charles W. Baker RHP Scott Blewett
March 25, 2014
Name: Scott Blewett
High School: Charles W. Baker High School
College Commitment: St. John’s
Position: RHP
The Prep Baseball Report New York sat down with Charles W. Baker standout RHP Scott Blewett, who is one of the top draft prospects in the country.
PBR: Tell me about your training and preparation for the upcoming 2014 baseball season.
Blewett: 2013 was an interesting year for me. I had the opportunity to travel the country, form lifelong relationships, and get a feel for what the competition is like around the country. In this past offseason I worked harder than ever to prepare myself for this year, not only physically but mentally. I'm one of those kids who will always work harder than my competition, and going into this year I know my hard work will show.
PBR: Could you describe your strengths and weaknesses?
Blewett: I have a lot of strengths and a lot of weaknesses. My strengths in general would be my pitching ability, but my weaknesses are my pitches. My pitches may seem good but there is always room for improvement. Mentally as well there is always room to get better.
PBR: Who is the top player you will face this high school season in your opinion?
Blewett: Best player I will face this year is Drew Lugbauer.
PBR: Tell us about the MLB draft process you’re going through?
Blewett: The draft process has been a ride, I've met a lot of interesting people throughout the process and I have enjoyed every second of it.
