Hilton 4 - Athena 2

Senior Alex Hendry threw a complete game For the Cadets punching out 5 Trojans along the way.

Brent Turpyn put Hilton on the board in the first inning with an RBI double.  It was a pitchers dual through the first four until Austin Metzger’s two run double in the 5th put Hilton up for good.

Athena would threaten in the top of the 7th, loading the bases with two outs before Hendry retired Dom Distefano on a line drive to right field to end it. 

Athena starter Colin Johnston, who threw 6 innings in a complete game loss, pitched better that the score indicates.  An error on a potential double play that would have gotten him out of an inning proved to be very costly as it opened the door for a big inning.

Hilton, who recently had a 10 game win streak snapped, improved to 14-5 overall on the season.
