Eastchester 5 - Nyack 4

Greg Satriale hit a three-run, walk-off homer in Eastchester’s 5-4 win over Nyack on Monday
The Eagles (14-3) entered the seventh inning trailing by two, but Tak Miki and Christian Aliberti led off with singles, and Satriale took a 0-1 curveball out over the left-center field wall to end it. The junior shortstop went 2 for 3 with a walk, two stolen bases and three RBI and teammate Kevin Krippel accounted for the other two runs, going 2 for 3 with a double, a triple and two RBI.  Daniel Marcillo was responsible for three of Nyack’s four runs, homering in each of his first two at-bats and hitting a sac fly in his third.

Sophomore right-hander Tom Muratore threw 81 pitches (52 strikes) over five-plus innings for Nyack (10-7), allowing two runs (one earned) on six hits and two walks with five strikeouts. He was replaced by right-hander Thomas Gonzalez with no outs in the sixth after Krippel’s RBI triple, which cut the Indians’ lead to 3-2. Gonzalez walked the first batter that he faced, but struck out the next three to leave Krippel stranded on third representing the tying run. Jordan Correa added a solo shot in the seventh to extend the Indians’ lead to 4-2, but the Eagles got to Gonzalez in the bottom half of the inning.

Matt Pantel started for Eastchester, coming out after 3 2/3 innings, having allowed two runs on three hits and two walks with one strikeout (58 pitches). Chris Gorman allowed one run over 2 1/3 innings in relief with two strikeouts, and Rich Manno eventually took the win after pitching the seventh.
